LinkedIn Account Passwords Hacked

iS3 is putting out this security alert because of recent incident that just occurred with LinkedIN accounts. On June 6, 2012 LinkedIn had a security breach. 60% of all users' password information was exposed to the public jeopardizing the privacy of these users.

Today, LinkedIn has officially confirmed the violation. To avoid any further issues LinkedIn has confirmed that any password that is changed will be stored in a salted hashed format. This format does not allow dictionary attacks or similar techniques, ensuring your password security.
