iS3 ANTIvirus: Top Support Questions
I have some files in the Virus Vault. Now what?
Most of today's viruses (Trojans, worms, etc.) create their own files which contain nothing but the body of the virus. In such cases, the only way to remove the infection is to delete the infected file. When you moved the file to the Virus Vault, it was deleted from its original location, coded, and then saved in a non-executable file in a hidden folder. Your PC is no longer infected.
If you are not missing any data files and your applications are running, you can delete these files from the Virus Vault program.
You can do it selectively from the Virus Vault program select files > delete. Or you can delete all Virus Vault contents in one step: Open the iS3 ANTIvirus Control Center, right-click on the Virus Vault tab and select Empty vault.
Note that files removed from your e-mails are also moved to the Virus Vault. If you do not have a content filter set, these files are infected and can be removed, as described above. If you have configured a content filter, you need to decide what to do with the files stored in the vault.
You can set automatic actions in the Virus Vault. Open the Virus Vault program as follows: From the Service menu select Program setting. From this dialog, you can set any automatic actions.
