I found a virus in C:\System Volume Information\ folder on Windows XP.
Now what?

Files placed in the System volume information folder are source files for the system restore function that is available in the Windows XP operating system. Files that were healed were moved to this folder in their original INFECTED state, so it is necessary to delete them as follows:
  1. Close all open programs. Right-click the My Computer icon on your Windows desktop.
  2. From the My Computer menu, select Properties.
  3. Open (click) the System Restore tab and check the Turn off System Restore checkbox.
  4. Restart the system
  5. Repeat Steps 1-4 and clear (uncheck) the Turn off System Restore checkbox.
